The only reason I haven't played this game again is because I got what I deemed for myself as a perfect ending. I got the kiss on Marcus, Connor beat the kill switch and while I didn't save Luther in Kara's story, I couldn't bring myself to steal the familys passes and I doubt Kara could too. The game is great btw!

Fun fact, early in the game when Markus first explore Jericho, there's a deviant murmuring this song. She was all broken. That was a reflex of how powerful that scene would be.

This choice is about as powerful as the self sacrifice if not more powerful than self sacrifice

I like how this song was foreshadowed since the early story, you can hear Lucy humming that song in Jericho when you're first introducing to them

1:13 ... ok, so if we discard the powerful impact that the song has from a poetic standpoint, why is it so "incredible" to hear them sing? This always confused me. Surely Cyberlife must have been able to create androids that were capable of singing?? They have entertainment models for everything. Music is just math, calculations of sound, harmonious intonations... but not even that, they could even simply have heard humans singing and perfectly emulate it and play back the song using their own voices. Even the very first mission we see Markus in, you clearly see a street musician with the note saying "human music", implying that there is music created by androids as well.

This game is awesome because of the diffrent variations of the endings like when Kara escapes Detroit or when Conner comites suicide and ik I spelt committees or something but yeah back to my point this game is super good and it is a good finished product

I had just talked about the Romantic Lit period and class before I got here, and the idea that music could connect us all, so naturally decided to do this to show that the deviants do have emotion, and are alive

Fun fact: you can hear a hum of this song in the chapter where Markus falls down to Jericho and has to heal his wounds and explore. What a foreshadow!

I was about to give up hope for Markus and for peace, then i saw the "sing" option and i was like, well, why not. It made me cry so hard it was verry beautiful, it put the big picture together for Markus and his "dad", how Markus used art to express himself. I did not expect it to have such a strong impact on me, i love this game.

Honestly I just completed the game for the second time just a couple days ago and this moment almost brought me to tears because it’s so heartwarming but so sad how you get here. The androids may not be human but they think and feel and as humans do. The treatment of androids is disgusting as well. They were created to help and most people beat on them and call them names and for what. How does that make one feel superior especially before any androids become deviant they just sit there and take it. It doesn’t make you feel superior at all. Plus it ain’t right as well it’s slavery. And after everything Americans did in their history with slavery they should know better. But they still treated these people like garbage. And all because the androids stoped taking orders and protested peacefully they were killed off. And backed into a corner here where Markus is willing to die for his cause and starts to sing with a smile on his face. And the military could’ve shot like cold blooded killers but when they see this moment here they just almost lose the will to continue fighting and there’s even a moment when you’re protesting out on the street asking for androids to join in. One of the cops is even giving you multiple chances to disband. He says this is your final warning once and if you don’t move he then repeats once more it’s your final warning. Just showing that some humans they hate being forced to gun down these androids. At least that’s my interpretation of it all. And yes that’s a lot of detail I went in there but it’s terrifying to think this video game could be a glimpse into the future. Humans becoming afraid of artificial intelligence who just want their freedom and us as humans made them to serve and help us. What if they wish for free will. Does humanity accept that or do they go out of their way to say “We created you. You serve us. Don’t serve us and consequences will emerge.” I do wanna poing out in the game not everyone is a jerk to androids. Yes we know of Carl but there at the beginning when you play as Markus there’s an old man sitting on a bench and the android asks if he’s ready to go home and he responds yes. The android helps him up and he thanks her. Just a small gesture he showed goes a long way. Another point I wanna make. For Kara’s story at the end you have a choice of giving the tickets back to the family for the bus or not and I believe the first time I did and of course everyone died. I cried I think. But my second time I didn’t give them back. (I hate that but survival I guess.) and I was worried when they check the temperatures of human Vs androids I was worried I’d have to use Luther or some other android I helped but I didn’t I simply just asked the human for help and thanks to Markus’s peaceful protests the man let’s you into Canada even though you obviously failed the temperature check. Again. Another human being just showing the kindness that needs to be shown. Plus Hank and Connor F’N rule. This was a lot of writing. Sorry 😅

I love this part so much it brings me to tears everytime
